The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. MST tip off, and will be streamed by the regional sports network. The contest will not be televised.

PORTALES, N.M. — The Lone Star Conference has announced that a two-day, six-game Lone Star Conference Football Festival will be held on September 14-15, 2012, at Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. The event marks the second year of the LSC Football Festival, with the Greyhounds taking on University of the Incarnate Word, on Friday, September 14, at 11 a.m. MST.

Saturday night at Greyhound Arena, however, the performance lifted the Greyhounds to a 68-66 win, as the teams split the season series for the third consecutive year. Senior guards

Karen Grant (Lubbock, Texas/ Estacado High School) picked up a career and game-high 25 points en route to an Eastern New Mexico University women’s basketball team (5-12; LSC 3-8) victory over rival Lone Star Conference opponent West Texas University (9-8; LSC 7-4), Saturday evening at Greyhound arena. With 0:09 seconds left in the game, Grant connected on two free throw shots to give the Zias a three point lead. Stellar defense on the other side of the court prevented the Lady Buffs from connecting on their last ditch three point efforts, giving the Zias the 71-68 victory. With the win, the Zias snapped a 16 game losing streak to the Lady Buffs, and picked up their first win against West Texas since 2003.
