PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico University men's soccer team fell to rival West Texas A&M, 5-0, in the first round of the Heartland Conference tournament on Tuesday evening in Canyon. The loss moves the Greyhounds' record to 7-8-4 overall in the 2016 campaign.
The Greyhounds were outshot 24-6 in the setback, manufacturing just two shots on goal in the contest. WT struck quickly, scoring three goals in the first 13 minutes of the match to take a commanding 3-0 lead before adding a pair over the remainder of the match.

Ryan McManus each notched a shot on goal, but neither found the mark.
James Gutierrez made three saves, but it was too much firepower for the Greyhounds to overcome, falling 5-0.
