PORTALES, NM — After a pair of road victories to open the calendar year, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team (10-3; LSC 6-0) has found itself in the receiving votes section of the 2016 D2SIDA National Media Poll for the second time this year. ENMU is receiving two votes in the eighth week of the poll, one day after ranking fifth in the South Central region.
ENMU also received votes in the sixth week of the poll, just before the team's last setback which came against 20
th-ranked Western Washington. The Hounds are on a three-game win streak and have won nine of its last 10 contests. On Saturday, ENMU picked up a 60-49 road win over a Texas Woman's team ranked eighth in the region.
The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team will return to action on Thursday to host Cameron. Tipoff is scheduled for 10 a.m. MST.
