Women's Basketball Retains Fourth Spot in South Central Regional Media Poll

PORTALES, NM — For the sixth consecutive week, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team made an appearance in the South Central Region of the 2016-17 Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA. With a 12-3 overall record, the Greyhounds remained fourth in the eighth edition of the poll.

Eastern was joined by fellow Lone Star Conference competitors Angelo State (2nd), West Texas A&M (6th), and Texas Woman's (10th) in the poll. Texas A&M-Commerce also received voted in the poll.

The Greyhounds currently boast an 8-0 mark in Lone Star Conference play for the second time in team history. ENMU also has a 3-1 mark against teams listed in the regional poll. The Hounds are currently on a five-game win streak, and have won 11 of their last 12 contests.

The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team will return to action on Thursday at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. MST. Live statistics and video will be available on the Javelinas' website.
