PORTALES, NM — After sweeping a pair of Lone Star Conference games last week, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team moved up a spot to second in the latest Division II South Central Media Poll. With an 18-5 overall record and 14-2 league mark, the Greyhounds have four games left in the regular season.

The poll marked the tenth consecutive appearance for ENMU in the regional poll. Eastern was joined by fellow Lone Star Conference competitors Angelo State (3rd), West Texas A&M (4th), and Texas A&M-Commerce (9th). Colorado State Pueblo continued to hold the top spot in the poll.

The Greyhounds already have posted their most wins in a season (18) since going 23-5 in the 1992-93 season. The squad's 14 conference wins also eclipsed the previous program best of 12, which had been accomplished in two other seasons. Eastern's 10 home victories are the most since going 10-4 at Greyhound Arena in the 2006-07 season.

The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team will return to action on Thursday, to Midwestern State University. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. MST.
