PORTALES, NM — With their best start in a quarter century, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team (16-5; LSC 12-2) remained atop the Lone Star Conference standings and in the national polls. After splitting road games last week, Eastern ranked 24
th in the Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll sponsored by D2SIDA.
The Hounds remained in the top-25 of the Media Poll, after ranking 23
rd, last week. Eastern is currently tied with Angelo State for first place in the Lone Star Conference and has matched a team record with 12 league wins.
The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team will return to action tonight, against Western New Mexico. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. MST.
