PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico University men's basketball juniors Joe Clarke and Lamarquis Thompson each earned an honorable mention selection on the 2016-17 All-Conference team. The Greyhounds finished the season 13-15 overall and 7-11 in Lone Star Conference action.
 
"Joe and Lamarquis have represented us so well this entire season," ENMU Head Coach Tres Segler said. "We're so proud of their awards tonight and we know that this will only motivate them more for what we want to achieve next season. The entire ENMU basketball program is proud of these young men because of the way they have both represented us in all facets of life here at Eastern."
 
Clarke, a junior out of New Rochelle, NY, was the 11^th-leading scorer in the LSC this season, averaging 13.7 points/game. The Dean College product also distributed 1.5 assists/game and recorded seven-straight games with at least 12 points.
 
Thompson joined the Greyhounds at the semester break and averaged 10.7 points and 5.3 rebounds/game as a guard. The Houston, Texas, native logged a double-double in the overtime win over Cameron, grabbing a team season-best 15 rebounds. Additionally, the Mt. San Antonio College product knocked down a pair of game winners, helping ENMU to its first five-game LSC winning streak since the 2004 season.
