PORTALES, NM – The Eastern New Mexico University baseball team sent 16 players to compete around the country in 10 different summer collegiate leagues.
 
In the Northwoods League, Bryce Welborn is pitching for the Kalamazoo Growlers while Nick DeArmond and Keenan Dodd have teamed up with the West Virginia Miners in the Prospect League. Just across the Texas border, Blake Frye joined the Canyon Cagerats of the Great Southwest Collegiate League. Lane Saunders and Jonathan Joy both travelled to Kentucky, playing for the Madisonville Miners of the Ohio Valley League. Zach Shank and Enrique Perez are tag teaming the Southern Collegiate Baseball League with the Piedmont Pride. Malcom Smith returned to his home state of California, joining the Inland Valley Bucs of the Southern California Baseball League. Taylor Ramirez is playing for the Haven Warhawks in Kansas of the Sunflower Collegiate League while Gabe Trujillo and Josh Dolan are playing together for the Summit County Extreme Black Diamonds of the Mountain West Summer Collegiate League. That duo will go head-to-head with Jared Gay of the Steamboat Storm. Nicholas Ankerman took his talents to South Beach, playing for the Palm Beach Snowbirds in the Collegiate League of the Palm Beaches. Jakob Reyes plays for the OC Grizzlies in the ATH Academy League. Rounding out the Greyhounds in summer leagues is Garlind Webster. The ENMU third baseman is playing for the Rockville Rockhounds of the California Collegiate League.
