Eastern New Mexico University Athletics

Although serving as ENMU athletic director from 1975-93 and directing the program’s transition from NAIA to NCAA culminated B.B. Lees career, he did it all at Eastern. In 40 years Lees was a key part of ENMU athletics as an athlete, coach, instructor and administrator. He played football, basketball and baseball for the Hounds and served as the head coach of no less than five sports at ENMU. Lees was the basketball coach from 1957-60, tennis in 1961, track & field from 1962-65, football from 1964-66 and golf from 1967-75. Lees also chaired the NCAA Basketball Committee.
