Betty Gayle Cooper-Ratliff is one of the most distinguished rodeo competitors in ENMU history. She competed for ENMU from 1971-74. During her time at ENMU she won three Southwest NIRA championship titles, two national championships, the Outstanding Woman Athlete Award and the Most Outstanding College Athlete of America Award three times. As a coach at Southwestern Oklahoma, she earned nine NITA Championships. Cooper Ratliff was inducted into the Cowgirl Hall of Fame in 1987.
