Bobby Rodriguez was the LSC South Offensive Back of the Year in 1999 and first team All-LSC after he guided the squad to the division title with a 6-3 record, which included a 24-16 win in the Wagon Wheel game. During that season, he passed for 1,229 yards and 11 touchdowns in the Greyhounds' option-based offense. Rodriguez earned Honorable Mention All-Lone Star Conference South Division in 1998. Over those two years, he guided ENMU to consecutive 8-3 marks, and snapped a two-year skid in the Wagon Wheel Game.
