Brenda Worley Gomez played guard for the women’s basketball team (1977-81). At the time of her induction she ranked fourth on the career scoring list with 1,248 points. Worley Gomez was selected All-Intermountain Conference in 1978-79, earned the Silver Pride Award in 1977-78 and Most Valuable Player Award in 1978-79. She was one of the top scorers on the team and one of the best passers. Worley Gomez was one of the first ten players to reach 1,000 points for a career in program history.
