Eastern New Mexico University Athletics

Donna Kinkead Patterson was a member of the ENMU rodeo team and made numerous trips to the College National Finals. She was the runner-up in barrel racing at the 1966-67 CNFR and helped Eastern win its first NIRA Championship that year. Also that year, she was the Southwest Region barrel racing champion and led ENMU to the regional crown. The next year, Kinkead Patterson was the NIRA National and Regional all-around barrel racing champion as Eastern was the runner-up in the region and nation.
