• President of the ENMU Greyhound Club in 1973-74
• Member of the ENMU Bench Club for a number of years
• Worked for State Farm Insurance
• Recruited to play football by head coach Carl Richardson in 1954
• Returned to Portales in 1959 after serving in the Army
• Seldom missed a home or road game, seeing more home basketball and football games than nearly anyone in ENMU history
• Fed the Greyhound Basketball one year during Christmas break and took the Zia Basketball team to Cattle Baron for many years
• Was given a Zia Letter jacket as the “Zias #1 Fan”
• Attended many away games in both football and basketball in Abilene, Texas, Canyon, Texas, Kingsville, Texas and Edmond, Oklahoma
