After transferring to ENMU, Julie Baxter played for, Mike Maguire in 1993 and 1995, earning All-Lone Star Conference status both years. Her performance propelled the team to a Lone Star Conference tournament title in 1993, sweeping past Angelo State in the tournament finals after defeating West Texas A&M in five games in the semifinals. Maguire considered Baxter to be his "Go-to" player as she topped the team in both digs and hitting percentage from her outside hitter position.

• Currently resides in Astoria, Oregon and works at a juvenile institution
• Coached varsity volleyball for several years
• Eldest son, Jordan plays football at Oregon State
• Youngest son, Jeramy, plays football at Astoria High School
