Mike Maguire served as ENMU volleyball coach for 23 years. Over his time on the bench, the Eastern posted 10 seasons of at least 20 wins and he was chosen as the Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year four times (1991, 1993, 1995 and 1999). The 2004 season concluded with the team making their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament, picking up a win over Mesa State, before eventually being eliminated by top-ranked University of Nebraska-Kearney. He also won the LSC regular season title in both 1991 and 1993; along with a conference tournament championships following the 1993 season.
