Eastern New Mexico University Athletics

Robert Matheny followed ENMU athletics since coming to the University as a student in 1950. As president of the school from 1983-89 he pursued the funding of athletics and funding for capital projects. He always appreciated the value of athletics and competition. Matheny also served as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and on the Hall of Honors Committee. He also served as Provost at ENMU-Clovis and Director of Development.
