Steve Hamrick played men’s basketball at ENMU from 1992-96 for head coach Earl Diddle. He is one of the few that can make the claim of reaching the Sweet 16 as both a player and a coach. Hamrick led the Hounds to the Lone Star Conference tournament championship and Sweet 16 in 1992-93 and was a three-time All-LSC choice. He hit a team-record 120 treys in the 1993-94 season and set a conference record with 320. He scored 1,210 points for his career.
