Eastern New Mexico University Athletics

Terry Cron has won state championships at three different levels, with three different schools in Texas, and is the only coach to have registered that accomplishment. He also was listed as one of the top 50 coaches in the state for an incredible span of 50 years. At Eastern, Cron was selected as the “Outstanding Men's Physical Education of 1972,” in addition to earning the Dewey F. Langston Award and receiving the Distinguished Service Award from the Phi Epsilon Kappa fraternity. After playing tight end and punter for four years at ENMU, he served as a student teacher in Roswell.
