Terry Dillard, the Greatest Greyhound for the 1979-80 year, was a first team all-district and honorable mention All-American selection. A four-year starter in the Hounds' defensive backfield, he also had three brothers play football at ENMU. In the 1978 season, he was the third-leading tackler on the squad with 8.6 per game. Dillard earned the Distinguished ROTC Cadet Award at Eastern and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant into the United States Army as an intelligence officer.
