Wilbur “Webb” Smartnick was the men’s basketball scorekeeper at ENMU for over 25 years and served as a backup scorekeeper for the women’s team. He is a retired assistant professor of accounting at Eastern served as acting chairman of the ACIS department. Smartnick received an award for student service in 1975-76 and the President’s Award for Service in 1977. He was named Distinguished Faculty Emeritus in 1996.
