Greyhound Softball Field

Greyhound Softball Field opened in 1999 and is 200 feet deep in the corners and 220 feet to center field. The outside fence is lined with a wind screen, with the outfield wall being fully padded. The infield is synthetic turf and the outfield is a fescue/bermuda turf. The dugouts are spacious, with built-in storage areas for bats and helmets.

In 2022, a synthetic turf infield was installed, replacing the dirt/clay infield. The turf is DFE Extreme 64 manufactured by Sprinturf. Sprinturf DFE Extreme is a combination of monofilament and parallel-fibrillated that interlock, which reduces infill flyout. In 2023, the outfield was upgraded to from grass to turf, completing a fully turf playing surf. The outfield wall and backstop were also upgraded in 2023, with padding now covering the outfield fence and backstop.

Following the 2005 season, a fieldhouse was built on the softball complex, providing offices for the coaches, conference rooms and locker rooms right next to the field. Previously, the coaches offices and locker rooms were located in Greyhound Arena. Prior to installation, the infield was a clay mix.

Bleacher seating is available for spectators behind the  backstop and behind the outfield fence, for an alternate viewing experience. Restrooms are available on-site, between the field and the fieldhouse.

Other amenities include a batting cage, bull pens and storage rooms. A scoreboard is located in left center field, providing information to fans and teams during home games. The Greyhounds also have an indoor hitting facility with multiple nets, screens and pitching lanes.

A pressbox was constructed behind the backstop. Inside is fully wired internet for in-game live statistics and video streaming. The pressbox also houses game operations, which includes statisticians, public address, play-by-play announcer and other needed personnel.
