PORTALES, N.M. — After rallying from a 22-point deficit at Angelo State, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team (6-8; LSC 2-2) has won back-to-back Lone Star Conference games. A big week looms for the Zias, with contests at Texas A&M-Commerce (Wednesday), Texas Woman's (Thursday) and a home game against Tarleton State (Saturday).

Last season, ENMU posted a record of 6-20, with a 4-12 mark in Lone Star Conference play.
Since the 2010-11 season, only Precious Herrin (16 ppg) has averaged more points per contest than
Tori Tucker (Sr., F, Portales, N.M./Floyd HS/Howard College) (12 ppg).
Jordyn Cooper (Jr., G, Texico, N.M./Texico HS) has been the top three-point shooter over that span, with a .364 shooting percentage and 110 three-point buckets. Tucker also is the program's top rebounder over those years, with 6.5 per game, while
Jasmine Johnson (Sr., P, DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto HS) leads the team with 469 total rebounds.

Midwestern State and Texas Woman's are staying in contention with 4-2 records, while Tarleton State is half a game back with a 3-2 record. Eastern New Mexico and Texas A&M-Commerce are both 2-2 in league play and will meet on Wednesday night.
The Zias lead the LSC in three-point percentage defense and are fourth conversion rate on three-point buckets. On Cameron has hit more treys than the Zias. ENMU is also third in free-throw percentage. Tucker is eighth in the league in scoring, while
Sarah Stinnett (Jr., G, Fort Sumner, N.M./Howard College) is 11th. Johnson is sixth in rebounding, while
Cassidy Doherty (Jr., G, Folsum, N.M./Melrose HS) is ninth in assists.
A&M-Commerce LionsA&M-C AthleticsA&M-C Women's BasketballRosterScheduleStatistics Texas A&M-Commerce enters the week with a record of 8-6 and is coming off a 68-60 win over McMurry.
Last year, the Lions finished 7-20 and tied for seventh in LSC play with a 6-10 mark. Texas A&M-Commerce was eliminated from the league tournament after an 84-55 decision against Tarleton State.
Texas Woman's PioneersTWU AthleticsTWU Women's BasketballRosterScheduleStatistics Texas Woman's boasts a record of 11-6 and a LSC record of 4-2. The Pioneers have won four of their last five games, which includes a two-point win at Midwestern State, on Sunday.
Last year, the Pioneers posted a record of 16-12 and tied for second in LSC play with a 10-6 mark. Texas Woman's defeated Texas A&M-Kingsville at the conference tournament, before falling to Tarleton State.

Last season Tarleton State finished with a record of 22-9 and tied for second with a LSC mark of 10-6. The TexAnns reached the championship game with wins over A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman's, before falling to West Texas A&M. TSU scored a win over Texas A&M-International before falling to Colorado Mesa in the NCAA's.
Inside the Series The Zias split the season series with Texas A&M-Commerce, with each team claiming a home win. The teams has also split the last six meetings, with ENMU's last road win in the series
coming by a 69-52 score on January 7, 2012. Precious Herrin and Kiara Tate each scored 17 points.
Texas Woman's swept the Zias last season, but prior to that ENMU had won three of five. Eastern's last road win over the Pioneers was an
80-70 decision on February 16, 2013. Tara Johnson led the Zias with 19 points and five assists.
Tarleton State has won 15 straight meetings with ENMU, with the Zias last win coming at home in
the 2006-07 season finale by a 59-54 score. Heather Brown scored 20 points, while Elizabeth Richards finished with 13 points and six rebounds. Eastern rallied from a 10-point deficit to earn the win.
Looking Ahead After hosting Tarleton State, the Zias will close the month with a home contest against
West Texas A&M. After a trip to
Texas A&M-Kingsville to open February, ENMU will return to host
Angelo State and
Cameron.
