PORTALES, N.M. — On December 31, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team (4-5) will make host Northern New Mexico College (3-13) in the first contest at Greyhound Arena this season. The Hounds will continue their home stand next Tuesday, with the Lone Star Conference opener against Texas Woman's University (10-2).

Eastern enters the home stand looking to snap a three-game skid, which came against Wayland Baptist, Seattle Pacific, and Concordia. Over that stretch, the Hounds have been outscored by a 77.7-60 points per game margin and out rebounded 39.7-34.7 per game. Eastern has held a 32-31 edge on the offensive boards. The lineup has featured four players with a double-digit average over the last three games, with Kassandra Harris pouring in 14 points, while Briana White has averaged 13 points per game. Mikaehla Connor has chipped in 11 points, while Sarah Stinnett added 10 points.

For the season, ENMU is being outscored by a slim 68.7-65.7 points per game margin. Harris and White lead the charge with 11.2 and 10.4 points per game. Eliza Martinez is the squad's top rebounder, with 5.2 caroms per game. Eastern had a three-game win streak prior to the current skid.

The Greyhounds have not played since the Sodexo Tipoff Classic at Seattle Pacific. Monday's contest at Texas-El Paso was canceled due to weather conditions. Mikaehla Connor was selected to the Sodexo All-Tournament team after she averaged 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and scored a career-best 15 against Concordia. Against the Cavaliers, Connor connected on 60 percent of her attempts from the floor. In early December, Sarah Stinnett was chosen as the LSC Defensive Player of the Week, after a strong performance at Western New Mexico.
