PORTALES, N.M. — The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will open its 13
th season of play, tomorrow afternoon at Southern Nazarene, with another contest just two days later at Lubbock Christian. Head coach
Omar Morales has the Greyhounds prepared to build on what arguably was the best season in team history.
One year ago, Eastern had the opportunity to win the Lone Star Conference on the final day of the regular season. Now, the Hounds look to win their season-opener for the first time since a 2-1 victory over Fort Lewis top open the 2006 campaign. The 2004 campaign was the only time ENMU won their season opener on the road, a 3-1 decision over Texas Wesleyan.

Alyxandra Ortiz made four saves to win the inaugural contest between the programs. ENMU held a 14-10 edge in overall shots, although SNU enjoyed a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.
