PORTALES, N.M — This Friday, the Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will open a four-game home stand which will conclude the 2016 regular season. This weekend's matchups feature Lone Star Conference contests against Texas Woman's and Texas A&M-Commerce.

The Greyhounds are 2-3 at home this season with victories over
University of the Southwest and
University of Texas of the Permian Basin. In five home matches, ENMU has outscored the opposition by a 14-9 margin
Offensively,
Anniah Galdean has been the team's top performer at Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium, with three goals and two assists. The freshman forward tallied the game-winning goal on a breakaway against UTPB.
Mirka Zamarripa is right behind with three goals and an assist. She had two goals and an assist against USW.

The Greyhounds have a 6-11-1 record against Texas Woman's and snapped a three-match skid in the series
with a 2-0 win, last month. The victory marked the first road win against the Pioneers since the 2003 season. ENMU is 3-4-1 at home against Texas Woman's and is 1-1-1 in the last three home meetings. Today's match marks the first time the teams will meet on Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium.
Marissa Torres made eight saves in the Greyhounds' win over TWU.
Tori Hendrickson netted the game-winning goal on a penalty kick, while
Mirka Zamarripa tallied an insurance goal early in the second half.
The Greyhounds have a 0-17-1 record against Texas A&M-Commerce, which includes seven home matches.
The teams played to a 1-1 tie in Commerce, Texas, on Sept. 18, 2011. Earlier in the season,
Marissa Torres made
10 saves in a 2-0 setback at A&M-Commerce.
Head coach
Omar Morales is in his third season at ENMU and has 16 wins with eight in conference play. In program history, he trails only Travis McCorkle (40-47-2) in terms of wins. Babak Abouzar is in his fourth season at Texas Woman's and boasts a 32-32-6 record. Neil Piper is in his 19
th season at Texas A&M-Commerce and has guided the Lions to a 222-120-32 record.

Texas A&M-Commerce sits atop the LSC standings with a 7-1 conference mark and ranks 21
st in the nation. West Texas A&M and Angelo State are close behind with 6-2 and 6-3 records, with both teams in the regional top-ten. Midwestern State is fourth, while Texas Woman's is fifth in the standings. ENMU currently holds sixth place in the standings and is one game ahead of University of Texas of the Permian Basin for the final spot in the LSC Tournament.
A&M-Commerce leads the league with 1.929 goals per game and an .851 save percentage. Angelo State is giving up a league low 0.67 goals per game. ASU's Demi Tsambasis leads the LSC with 12 goals, while Texas A&M Commerce's Caitlin Duty has a LSC best .862 save percentage
