"This was a great win for our team and a great win for our program," ENMU Head Coach Josh Prock said. "I'm very proud of our young ladies to be able to come into a very difficult place to play and come away with a win. I'm just super proud of the way we finished the game."

Daeshi McCants finished with 20 points to lead the Greyhounds while Mikaehla Connor added 19 strong points and Brandi Gomez nailed four shots from beyond the arc and closed with 14 points. Dasia Johnson dished out five assists while McCants pulled down a team-high five rebounds.

After Eastern hit it's opening three, the Lady Buffs mounted a 12-0 run to race out to a 12-3 lead early in the first quarter. The Greyhounds would close the gap to 19-10 at the end of the first after Kassandra Harris produced six points.

For the first nine minutes of the second quarter, the Green and Silver held WT to a .200 shooting percentage and narrowed the gap to seven going into the intermission, 32-25. Mikaehla Connor and Daeshi McCants each put up five points to pace the offense for Eastern while Dasia Johnson had four assists.

The Greyhounds dominated in the third quarter, outscoring the Lady Buffs 22-16. Brandi Gomez scored 11 of her 14 points in the quarter. Jasmine Hotchkins knocked down a 10 footer at the buzzer to pull the 'Hounds within one, 48-47.

Hotchkins fired a deep three on Eastern's first possession in the fourth quarter, knocking it down to give the 'Hounds their first lead since the first minute of the game. ENMU and WT went back-and-forth over the next several minutes with neither side able to seize more than a two point advantage. At the 3:14 mark, Harris gave Eastern a three point advantage with a layup from the left block, 64-61.

ENMU and WT were eventually tied at 64 with two minutes to play. Daeshi McCants' three with 1:48 gave Eastern the lead, 67-64. Both teams produced a number of empty possessions over the next minute, but each side made shots from the free throw line, moving the score to 68-67 in favor of the 'Hounds. With 15 seconds to play, Johna McClelland hit a pair of free throws to extend the lead to 70-67.

"I was impressed by everyone," Prock said. "I know it sounds cliché, but everybody stepped up and contributed. That was just a great team win."
