PORTALES, N.M. — The Eastern New Mexico men's basketball team suffered a setback Saturday, falling to Midwestern State 110-62 to one of the Lone Star Conference's best.
Lawrence Domingo led the Greyhounds (6-17, 2-9 LSC) with 14 points and four rebounds. Domingo leads the team in scoring, registering 11.6 points per contest.
Head coach Stott Carter said, "For him it should show him what he's [Domingo] capable of and he should see what he should be able to do against other teams. We have to take away the positives from this game and obviously one of them is his ability to finish against competition like this."
Kevin Saiz was the only other Greyhound in double digits, finishing with 11 points. The Mustangs (18-5, 7-4 LSC) were led by Bretson McNeal with 22 and Jordan Stevens who finished with 20 points. MSU had three other players score in double digits as well.
Eastern will look to defend their home court Feb. 17, where they will matchup with Tarleton State. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (MT).
