PORTALES, N.M. — Last week, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team (10-16; LSC 5-11) concluded the regular season with a hard-fought game against Lone Star Conference champion and 12
th-ranked West Texas A&M. The Greyhounds will head to the conference tournament for the fourth time in the last five years, and face second-seeded Angelo State.
The Hounds are being outscored by a slim 66.3-62.8 points per game margin and outrebounded 40.7-39.2.
Sarah Stinnett leads ENMU with 12.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and a .355 shooting percentage.
Kassandra Harris is right behind, with 12 points, 5.2 boards, and a .434 shooting percentage. ENMU is 2-1 in neutral-site games this season, with victories over Adams State and Texas-Permian Basin. In neutral-site contests,
Mikaehla Connor has scored a team-high 13 points per game.
Entering the tournament as the seventh seed, Eastern has registered its first double-digit win season since 2006-07. The last time ENMU reached double digits in wins, the lineup featured recent Hall of Honor inductees, Heather Brown and Elizabeth Richards.
