PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico University men's soccer program dropped a tight, 3-2, decision to Adams State on Wednesday at Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium in front of 287 fans in the home debut for the Greyhounds. The loss moves ENMU to 1-1-1 on the year.

After battling to a 0-0 draw in the first half, Eastern surrendered three-straight goals in the second half before mounting a huge rally in the final 12 minutes of the match.
Robert Raspudic found the back of the net for his second goal of the season in the 78
th-minute on a header off a corner kick from
Gabriel Trujillo to cut the deficit to 3-1. Just four minutes later, the Greyhounds narrowed the gap to 3-2 on
Ignacio Dicun's first goal of the season, coming from 10-yards out.

In the final minute, ENMU had a trio of opportunities to push in the equalizer. Trujillo fired a shot from the box, but Grizzlies goalie Austin Baumeister made the save to set up a corner kick for the Greyhounds.
Ryan Sinclair laid a beautiful corner kick into the box and Raspudic fooled the majority of the Grizzlies defense, but the ball was blocked by a defender to seal the Greyhound's fate.
Â
James Gutierrez made the start between the pipes for ENMU, making three saves, but ultimately was saddled with the loss despite the furious comeback from the Greyhounds. The offense for Eastern only managed nine shots with five on goal in the setback.
