CANYON, TEXAS — Freshman forward Christopher Mesquita  tallied his team-best eighth goal of the season, as the Eastern New Mexico University men's soccer team (4-13-1; HC 3-11) closed their 2017 season. The Hounds dropped an 8-1 decision in Heartland Conference action to West Texas A&M (12-4-1; HCC 10-3-1) at the Pitch.
 
The goal was Mesquita's fifth in the last five matches. He scored at 80:21 of the match on a cross pass from Robert Leonard.
