PORTALES, NM — The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team will continue its season-opening road trip this week, with contests in Colorado and Central New Mexico. Last week, the Greyhounds opened with tough setbacks against
South Dakota Mines and
Fort Lewis.
On Thursday, ENMU will tip off its final exhibition game at NCAA Division I Colorado State at 7 p.m. MT. A contest against cross-state rival New Mexico Highlands will be played on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Returning All-Lone Star Conference guard
Mikaehla Connor has led ENMU over the first two games with 11.5 points and seven rebounds. Also All-LSC last season,
Daeshi McCants has averaged seven points and 6.5 rebounds.
Jasmine Hotchkins and
Brandi Gomez have chipped in 9.5 and 6.5 points, respectively. Gomez and McCants have combined to block eight shots.
Eastern is currently being outscored 68.0-55.5 points per game but are out-rebounding the opposition by a 43.0-39.5 margin.
In his
fifth season, Head Coach
Josh Prock ranks third on the ENMU career win list. Under his direction, Eastern has a 45-66 record, which included the program's
third 20-win season and second LSC title.

After an exhibition victory
over University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (78-60), Colorado State bounced back from a
season-opening loss to Idaho (69-83). CSU posted its first win of the season,
with a 65-49 victory over Gonzaga. All of their games have been played in Moby Arena, where the Aggies posted a 16-2 record last season.
Lore Devos leads CSU with 18.5 points and 3.0 assists per game. Annie Brady paces the Aggies with 8.0 rebounds to go along with 5.5 points per game. The Aggies average one point more per game than their opposition and hold an identical edge on the boards.

opened the season with an 85-51 setback to Rogers State at the Heartland/Rocky Mountain Conference Challenge. Prior to Saturday's contest,
the Cowgirls will host University of the Southwest.
Savannah Madrid-Andrews leads NMHU with 13 points per game, while Allyah George chips in 12 points per game. George, DeAvion Allen and Amari Terry each had five rebounds in the opener. The Cowgirls are being out shot by a .411-.317 margin.
The Greyhounds hold a 36-8 lead in the series with NMHU, which includes a 13-6 mark on the road. Eastern has won the last two meetings, although the teams split the last two meetings in Las Vegas, NM.
Las season,
Sarina Johnson's 15 points and four assists paced four ENMU players in double figures as the
Hounds earned a 75-48 home victory on November 22, 2016. Eastern never trailed and led for 39:51 of the action.

Prior to the home opener at the end of the month, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team will play two games at the
West Texas A&M Pak-a-Sak Tournament, next weekend. The Greyhounds will open play against
Colorado State-Pueblo on Friday, November 24
th, at 11 a.m. MT. A Saturday matchup with
Texas A&M-International will follow.
