Greyhound Women’s Soccer Snaps Skid with 3-2 Win over Southern Nazarene

Saturday, September 16, 2017

BETHANY, OKLA. — Shelby Bell tallied the game-winner with less than five minutes to play and Alejandra Camarillo made seven saves to lift the Eastern New Mexico University women' soccer team (1-3-2) to its first victory since September 30, 2016. The Greyhounds charged to a 2-1 lead at Wes Harmon Field, and received the late goal for the 3-2 win.

"The game was a fight," said first-year Head Coach Ryan Spence. "The wind was super strong so it was a sloppy game. Our freshmen got a lot of playing time and we needed a gritty win before conference starts because we haven't been finishing games. Shelby Bell came on and played good minutes for her first game and scored the game-winning goal."

The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will return to action next Friday, to host Texas A&M-Commerce. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. MT.
