Alivia Lewis' second double double of the season and a late run lifted the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team (15-9; LSC 11-6) to a crucial Lone Star Conference win, Thursday night at Greyhound Arena. The Greyhounds defeated Midwestern State (12-11; LSC 9-8), 81-66, to collect their third consecutive home win.

In The Series
- The win improved ENMU to 19-28 in the series
- The Hounds are 12-10 at home against Midwestern State
- The loss avenged a 73-57 setback from earlier in the season
- ENMU has won four of the last five games against the Mustangs
The Key Run
- Lewis scored with 1:11 left in the third quarter to give Eastern a 55-45 lead
- Liza Cathcart's layup with 49 seconds left ignited a 12-2 MSU surge which stretched into the fourth quarter
- Chelsie Kizart completed a fastbreak with 7:13 left in regulation to pull the Mustangs even at 57-all
- MSU closed that surge with nine straight points to seize the momentum and tie the game
- Sarina Johnson followed with a free throw and a three-point bucket as the Hounds took the momentum back with six straight points
- The surge turned into a 24-7 run which included a key three-point bucket from Brandi Gomez
- Daeshi McCants capped the run with a three-point play to give Eastern an 81-64 lead with 41 seconds left
In the Numbers
- ENMU moved to 11-1 when scoring at least 60 points
- Eastern's 81 points was a season high
- In the first meeting with MSU, the Mustangs held a seven-rebound advantage
- Tonight, the Hounds held a 12-rebound advantage
- Eastern also enjoyed a 14-5 lead in second-chance points
- Lewis had 14 points and 11 rebounds for her first double double since ENMU defeated Colorado State-Pueblo
- Sarina Johnson had 15 points and three asissts
- McCants chipped in 10 points, nine boards and three assists
- Kaylee Edgemon added nine points
- Micheline Mercelita paced MSU with 15 points
