ATLANTA, GA —With inclement weather approaching, the Eastern New Mexico University baseball team (6-2) squeezed in a third game on the first day of the Peach Tree City Classic. Cesar Capellan tossed a three-hit gem with 15 strikeouts as the Hounds picked up a 6-1 victory over Fairmont State (0-1).

One for the Books

• The victory gave Head Coach David Gomez his 90^th for the Greyhounds
• Both Endy Villalona and Alex DeLaCruz managed to accomplish the rare feat of stealing home

 
In the Numbers

• ENMU outhit Fairmont State 7-3
• DeLaCruz and Levi Shandrew both doubled, while Andrew Stubbs tripled for the Hounds
• Chris Padilla belted his third homer of the season
• Capellan went nine innings and gave up one unearned run
• Austin Norman had two hits for Fairmont State
