PORTALES, NM —Enrique Perez went five innings for the Eastern New Mexico University baseball team (7-5), Sunday afternoon at Greyhound Baseball Field. The junior pitcher allowed just two runs on three hits and fanned three batters. Eastern took an early lead, but Angelo State (13-5) rallied for a 4-2 victory in non-conference action.

In the Game

• The Hounds drew walks in each of the first three innings, with Endy Villalona reaching third base in the bottom of the first
• ENMU broke through for the first run of the game on Chris Padilla's two-out single in the fourth inning
• Angelo State pulled even on Alex Salcido's two-out RBI single in the top of the fifth
• The Rams took advantage of two walks in the sixth inning and scored three runs with a rally capped by Andrew Morales' two-run double
• ENMU closed within two runs on Zach Shank's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning
• Blake Frye and Levi Shandrew held ASU hitless over the final 3.2 innings and combined to fan four batters
• Carson Childers earned the win for ASU and allowed just two hits over six innings with nine strikeouts
