PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico University is scheduled to release a replay of the 2019 Heritage Bowl between Eastern New Mexico and Southern Arkansas beginning at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.
The game will be available on the ENMU Alumni Association Facebook Page as well as the main Eastern New Mexico University YouTube page, allowing fans to view the game at any time tomorrow. The game is being made available as a substitute for the postponed football homecoming game for the 2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 20-13 win over Southern Arkansas for the Greyhounds marked the program's first ever win as a Division II program. The win also notched the eighth victory of the season for the Hounds, matching the second highest win total in program history.
Senior
Paul Terry capped off his outstanding senior season with all three touchdowns in the contest for Eastern New Mexico and 110 yards on 26 carries. He was named the 2019 Heritage Bowl MVP following the game and finished the year with a school record with 1,888 yards on the ground, ranking second in all of Division II football.
The story of the game, however, would end up being a stellar second half of defensive football for the Greyhounds, allowing just three points throughout the entirety of the final 30 minutes of action. That defensive stand throughout the half included two key stands for the Greyhounds on drives in which the Muleriders started on the Eastern New Mexico side of the field, resulting in just three total points.
