PORTALES, NM - The Eastern New Mexico football team welcomes Lincoln University (Calif.) to Greyhound Stadium on Saturday, October 2 at 6 p.m. The game is part of ENMU's Homecoming Weekend activities.Â
Fans are encouraged to get to the game early to enjoy tailgating, the Dawg Walk, and performances by the Greyhound Sound Marching Band leading up to the start of the contest.
HOUNDS' LAST TIME OUT
• The Greyhounds are coming off a close 31-24 overtime loss to #15 Midwestern State on Saturday, September 25.
• Eastern found itself down 17-0 at the half.
Cooper Hamilton kicked a field goal in the third to break the shutout attempt and then
Zachery Fields caught three touchdowns in the fourth to give ENMU a 21-17 lead. The Mustangs scored another touchdown to retake the lead, 24-21. Hamilton nailed a 38-yard field goal to tie the game, 24-24, with two seconds left on the clock. Midwestern State went on to score a touchdown in the first possession of the overtime period and then held the Hounds to secure the win.

Nathan Valencia finished the contest 17-31 passing for 154 yards and three touchdowns.
• Eastern's leading receiver was Fields with three touchdowns and 81 yards.

Isaiah Tate rushed for 132 yards on 27 attempts, for an average of 4.8 yards per carry.
• Defensively,
Beau Burns led the way with eight tackles, while
Chase Phillips and
Camron Pitcher Jr. had seven.

Mazin Richards recorded one sack and a forced fumble.
SCOUTING THE OAKLANDERS
• Lincoln University (Calif.) is coming off a 61-13 loss to Stephen F. Austin University on Saturday, Sept. 25.
• The Oaklanders saw touchdowns from Faizon Knight and Terence Robertson.
• Cameron Burston was 3-17 passing for 105 yards and one touchdown.
• Defensively, Nick Patterson and Emmit Gooden each recorded 12 tackles. Patterson had one sack. Kobe Jenkins forced one fumble during the contest.
AROUND THE LSC
• Midwestern State remains the only undefeated Lone Star Conference team at 4-0. This week's schedule includes one LSC game and four non-conference contests.
• LSC football teams are 18-14 overall this season. The squads are 6-3 combined versus the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams, which are also in NCAA Super Regional Four.
•The fourth round of LSC Football Players of the Week were announced earlier this week. Kylan Harrison of Midwestern State was named Offensive Player of the Week, Josh Quinton of Angelo State was named Defensive Player of the Week, and Carson Roberts of UT Permian Basin was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
