Greyhounds Prepare For Texas A&M International and Texas A&M-Kingsville This Weekend

PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico volleyball will entertain two home contest this weekend, with Saturday being Youth Day. On Friday, Texas A&M International University will come to Portales for an LSC clash, beginning at 6 p.m. The following day, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, will tangle with ENMU with first serve scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
 

LAST TIME OUT

ENMU return to Greyhound Arena on a three-game win streak, after a 2-0 sweep this past weekend. First, the Hounds pulled off a 3-2 comeback win over Cameron University. The next day, Eastern provided a 3-1 victory over Midwestern State.
 

SCOUTING THE HOUNDS

The Greyhounds enter the weekend at 4-15 on the season, with a 4-7 conference record. Collectively, the Hounds are suppling 10.7 kills per set (k/s), and providing 9.8 assists per set (a/s). On defense, the Greyhounds are contributing 12.7 digs per set (d/s), and finding 2.0 blocks per set (b/s) at the net.
 
On offense, Jasmine Gannon provides 2.89 k/s, with Mikaela Garvin also adding 2.09 k/s. Rae Sapiga paces the Greyhounds in assists with 4.63 a/s, while Qitana Sapiga adds 3.71 a/s. Defensively, Gannon leads the team in digs with 2.81 d/s, just behind is Daejia Rodriguez with 2.68 d/s. At the net, Gracelyn Stubbs is averaging 0.79 b/s, and Adriana Puni is next with 0.78 b/s.

Texas A&M International University

The Dustdevils come into the weekend with a 3-15 season record, while posting a 3-8 LSC standing. Recently, TAMIU split a weekend of games with a 3-0 win over Western New Mexico University (WNMU), and a 3-0 loss against University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB).

Texas A&M International are producing 11.6 k/s and 10.7 a/s on offense. As a defensive unit, TAMIU are finding 16.1 d/s, along with 1.7 b/s.
