COMMERCE, Texas – The Eastern New Mexico football team wrapped the season with a 30-10 loss at Texas A&M University-Commerce on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions got on the board first in the second quarter when Cedric Wilcox III returned a fumble for a touchdown. Jake Viquez kicked the extra point to make it a 7-0 game.
Eastern responded with a field goal to cut that lead to 7-3, but Texas A&M-Commerce kicked a field goal of their own on the next drive to extend the advantage back out to 10-3.
TAMUC added one more score in the closing minutes of the second quarter to take a 17-3 lead at the half.
The Lions tacked on 13 points in the third quarter to make it a 30-3 contest.

Cooper Hamilton kicked the extra point to cut the deficit to 30-10, which would be the final score of the contest.
