PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico volleyball will put its five-game win streak on the line this weekend as they travel to Lubbock Christian University on Friday, facing off at 5 p.m. The following day, the Greyhounds will turn to face nationally ranked #6 Angelo State University. First serve on Saturday is scheduled for 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Eastern posted its second consecutive weekend sweep in their last set of games. First, the Hounds come out on the right of a five-set thriller against Texas A&M International University, 3-2. Then finishing the weekend with a sweep of Texas A&M University-Kingsville, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon.
LONE STAR CONFERENCE HONORS
Mikaela Garvin and
Rae Sapiga come into this weekend's matches as reigning LSC Offensive Player and Setter of the Week, respectively. Garvin posted an overall hitting percentage of .472, while collecting 27 total kills. R.Sapiga was a key part of the offense in the Hounds two recent victories, dishing out 7.13 assists per set (a/s) tallying 57 total assists. Â
SCOUTING THE HOUNDS
Having won its last five games, ENMU stand at 6-15 overall, while holding a 6-7 conference record. As a team, Eastern are finding 11.0 kills per set (k/s), along with 10.1 a/s on offense. Defensively, the Greyhounds are collecting 12.9 digs per set, with 2.05 blocks per set at the net.

Jasmine Gannon holds the most kills for the Hounds with 2.94 k/s, while Garvin is just behind with 2.22 k/s. R.Sapiga paces the Greyhounds in assists with 4.91 a/s,

Individually, R.Sapiga sits fifth in the conference for service ace per set (sa/s) with 0.43 sa/s. The Hounds are one of the better blocking teams in the LSC, with 2.05 b/s standing in fifth among other LSC programs, while sitting in fourth for opponent b/s with opposing teams only finding 1.63 b/s. ENMU is also the top team in opponent digs, holding teams to 13.38 d/s.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Lubbock Christian University
The Lady Chaps come into the weekend winning its last four games, holding a 16-6 record with a 11-2 conference standing. Lubbock Christian only dropped one set in recent matches, sweeping Western New Mexico University (WNMU) 3-0, then besting University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) the next day, 3-1.
Lubbock Christian are totaling 12.8 k/s, while adding 11.6 a/s to its offense. Defensively, LCU are the third best blocking team in the conference, with 2.11 b/s. Additionally, the Lady Chaps are finding 17.2 d/s on defense.
The LCU offense is led by Aaliyah Gray with 2.79 k/s, and Jenna Lyons posting 2.60 k/s. Jalee Sims is the leader in assists for the Lady Chaps with 8.59 a/s, those numbers standing fifth around the LSC. On defense, Kendell Mahaney leads the team in digs with 4.41 d/s, while Hannah Froeschl is the leader in b/s with 1.0 b/s. Froeschl's 1.0 b/s stand in third in conference rankings.
#6 Angelo State University
Angelo State enter the weekend as the sixth ranked team in the nation, according the recent American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. The Rambelles sit at 19-3 on the season, with a conference record of 12-1. ASU have won their last three games, with a 3-1 win over UTPB, and a 3-0 sweep of WNMU this past weekend.
The Rambelles sit in the top-five in conference rankings in nearly every statistical category. Angelo State is posting a .247 hitting percentage (2
nd), with 14.38 k/s (2
nd), and 13.32 d/s (2
nd) in attack. On defense, ASU sit in second for blocks with 2.12 b/s, along with adding 16.83 d/s.
Kailyn Gilbreath leads the team in both kills with 2.99 k/s and assists with 7.27 a/s. Baliegh Allen is the leading blocker in the LSC with 1.16 b/s, leading the Rambelles. Chole Patton is provides the most digs with 4.2 d/s.
