PORTALES, NM – The Eastern New Mexico women's soccer team was handed a close 1-0 loss by Colorado Christian University on Sunday afternoon at Greyhound Stadium.
Throughout the first half of the contest, the Greyhounds pressured hard and outshot the Cougars, 11-5. However, Colorado Christian goalkeeper Keeley Kroogenburg came up with key saves to keep the score knotted at 0-0 through 45 minutes of play.
Cougar forward, Saige Stock sent the ball sailing past the outstretched hands of
Whitney Dockweiler at the 57:52 mark of play in the second half to give her team the slim 1-0 advantage.
The Hounds continued to pressure and saw several good chances in the remainder of the contest, but it wasn't enough as Colorado Christian managed to hold on to the 1-0 victory.

- Eastern held a 19-8 shot advantage throughout the game. The Hounds also had seven shots on goal compared to Colorado Christian's one.
