FROM THE SOURCE
"They did not make mistakes today and their starters kept our hitters off balance in both games," said Head Baseball Coach Riley Price. "We on the other hand, gave them too many free passes and that can't happen against good teams. We let the umpire dictate way too many at bats today with two strikes and need to get back to spraying the field more consistently with tougher at bats going into tomorrow," said Price. "On a positive note, it was great to see (Vernon) Hart back in action on the mound as he's worked very hard to get back healthy and threw a solid inning for us. Overall, they played better baseball than us today," said Price. "If we come out swinging tomorrow and play cleaner baseball as a whole, I like our chances of splitting the series".
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Roach continued his hitting streak moving to 13 straight games, and recording a hit in 28 of his last 29 games.
- Hart made his first appearance in a Greyhound uniform and recorded his first two punchouts on the mound for Eastern.
- ENMU will wrap up is season with a final game against the Javelinas tomorrow starting at 12 p.m. The Greyhounds will honor its two seniors prior to the start of the game.
