DENTON, Texas — Mikaela Garvin, Getsemani Carrasco, Gracelyn Stubbs, and Adriana Puni all picked up all tournament team honors, following a 3-1 weekend at the Denton Volleyfest. ENMU finished up the weekend with a pair of sweeps against Northwestern Oklahoma State and East Central, along with a 3-2 comeback win over Ouachita Baptist.

Garvin was the focal point of the Greyhounds offense in the 3-2 comeback over Ouachita Baptist. The opposite hitter tied a career high 18 kills, hitting .394, and adding five digs and four total blocks, finishing with 20 points in the win. Garvin also led the way in kills (12) during Eastern's 3-0 sweep of East Central. Carrasco led the Hounds defensive effort on in the 3-2 win over OUA with a match high 35 digs for the Greyhounds. The 35 digs landed in sixth for a single-game match high in program history, and was the most digs since Andrea Aguilar posted 36 digs against West Texas A&M in 2017. Carrasco also found 22 digs during the sweep of East Central.

Stubbs was effective on both sides of the court this weekend, contributing eight kills with a .400 hitting percentage, and two blocks during the win over Ouachita Baptist and posted four kills and two blocks in the win over East Central. Stubbs also held a match high four total blocks during the loss against Missouri Southern State. Puni contributed in nearly every category for ENMU this weekend, suppling seven kills, six digs, three service aces, and five total blocks during the win over OUA. The middle blocker followed that performance with 8 kills, a .571 hitting percentage, and nine blocks in the 3-0 win over ECU.

Eastern head to Austin, Texas for its final tournament before conference play. The Hounds will face Oklahoma Christian, St. Edward's, and Texas A&M-Kingsville over the course of three days, Thursday, Sept. 8-Saturday, Sept. 10.
