WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Eastern New Mexico Volleyball program concluded a four-match road swing with a 3-0 loss to Midwestern State on Wednesday evening at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. The setback moves the Greyhounds to 8-13 overall with a 0-8 conference standing. The Mustangs pick up their first win in conference play (1-5) with a 4-14 record.

The Mustangs persevered in three difficult sets against ENMU, winning by set scores of 25-20, 25-15, and 27-25. In the opening set, the Mustangs pulled away with a 5-0 run to break an 8-8 tie with each team going back and forth for the remainder of the set. In the second frame, MSU was up early leading 12-5 and finishing the set with six straight points. In the final set, ENMU rallied from a six-point deficit late in the set to move to set point, but three straight points from the home team concluded the match.
NOTABLE STATS
- Mikaela Garvin led the match with 12 kills, with Kali Nelson finishing with eight kills. Kayla Ison held a match high 18 assists, with Gracelyn Stubbs picking up 13 assists.
- Deziree Flowers led the blocking effort with three block assists, while Getsemani Carrasco compiled 15 digs during the match.
- Midwestern State outmatched ENMU for kills (40-38) with the Greyhounds leading the match with six blocks, versus the five from MSU.

- ENMU finally returns to Greyhound Arena this weekend, playing UT Permian Basin on Friday, Oct. 13, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday's match will be the programs Pink Night, with the team wearing Pink Sleeves for the month of October.
