PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer play their final home game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 28, against #22 Dallas Baptist University at Greyhound Stadium (1 p.m. kickoff). Before that, the Greyhounds head to Odessa, Texas to face UT Permian Basin on Wednesday, Oct. 25, with a start time of at 4:30 p.m. (MST)

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
- The Greyhounds enter its final home weekend after a pair of losses to Oklahoma Christian, 3-1, and Texas A&M International, 2-0. Currently, ENMU holds a record of 1-10-4 on the season with a 0-8-1 conference standing.
- Eastern have scored nine goals this season, along with six assists. ENMU average around eight shots per game, with just under 50% of their shots going on goal. Defensively, Eastern concedes 14.7 shots per game with 65 saves this season.
- Of the nine goals this season, Nina Ballesteros, Sydney Saxon, and Emma Hafenbrak each have two goals. Haley Huff leads the squad in shots (16) and shots on goal (9), along with a team best two assists. Samantha Jeffries makes 4.13 saves per game in net (3rd best in the LSC), starting every match in goal for the Greyhounds. Additionally, their 62 saves this season is second most in the LSC.
SCOUTING THE FALCONS
- UTPB comes into the home contest after a loss and draw. The Falcons dropped a 3-2 decision with Midwestern State, then forced a 2-2 tie with St. Edward's. Entering Wednesday, the Falcons have a 3-5-5 record with a 1-3-4 conference standing.
- The Falcons have emerged as one of the best offensive teams in the conference, scoring 22 goals in 13 games (1.69 goals per game, 4th in the LSC), while their 1.36 assists per game is 5th in the LSC. On defense, the Falcons have allowed 25 goals, but are top-five in the conference for saves (68, 2nd in LSC) and saves per game (5.23, 2nd in LSC).
- Leading the line for UTPB, Tatiana Leggiero and Kristel Chaves each have over four goals and four assists this season, while Maria Tarrago also has four goals this season. Leggiero's 40 shots this season leads the Falcons group, along with a team best 18 shots on goal. Valeria Delgado has played 12 games in goal for the Falcons, making 55 saves and averaging 4.58 saves per game (Both top-five in LSC).
SCOUTING THE #22 PATRIOTS
- The nationally ranked Patriots start the week with a #22 ranking from the latest Untied Soccer Coaches Poll. DBU have started to hit their stride, remaining unbeaten this season back-to-back wins over St. Edward's, 3-0, and Midwestern State, 3-1. The Patriots stand at 8-0-4 in 2023 with a conference standing of 5-0-3.
- DBU are the complete package as the top scoring offense in the LSC (2.41 goals per game, 29 total goals) and the second-best defense in the conference with 0.50 goal against average. The Patriots also lead the conference in points (89), assists (31), and are second for shutouts with seven.
- Taylor Tufts is the conference leader in shots (4.50 per game), points (1.75 per game), and assists (13 total). Tufts is the nation's leader with 13 assists in just 12 games. For goalscoring, Michelle Gonzalez has a team high of six goals, while Sophia Shrock is next best with five goals. Carman Lopez doesn't face many shots in goal, allowing just five goals in nine games with a .808 save percentage.
