PUEBLO, Colo. – Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball fell 49-37 against CSU-Pueblo on Friday evening at Massari Arena. The Greyhounds slip to 3-2 on the season, while the Thunderwovles shift to 3-3 on the overall.

After the Greyhounds went ahead in the opening minutes, 6-4, CSU-Pueblo surged in-front with a 13-1 streak. A pair of free throws ended the run and concluded the first frame with ENMU behind 17-10. The Thunderwolves pushed their lead to 12 points midway through the 2
nd quarter, but the Greyhounds jolted back into the game with a 13-2 run over the final 5:23 to trail just one point at the break.
Jaz Salon canned a trio of three pointers, along with a layup, with
Deja Adrian posting a layup also. ENMU were behind 26-25 at halftime.

During the second half, the Greyhounds struggled to find open looks from the floor. With ENMU behind just two points, the Thunderwolves went on a 17-3 streak spanning 15:20 across the 3
rd and 4
th quarters. An
Alexandria Sariñana triple ended the streak with under two minutes to play, but the T-Wolves held out for a 49-37 win.
NOTABLE STATS
- ENMU was held to 23.6% shooting from the field (13-55), 5-21 from deep (23.8%), and while shooting 6-8 at the foul line (75.0%). The home Thunderwolves provided a 35.7% shooting percentage (15-42), posting 6-17 shooting from behind the arc (35.3%). CSU-Pueblo thrived at the charity stripe, finishing 13-15 from the foul line (86.7%%)
- The Greyhounds held the edge on the glass (38-35), but CSU-Pueblo recorded eight blocks compared to ENMU's one block. Both teams finished with 17 steals.
- Salon finished as the leading scorer for the Greyhounds (14 pts), while Adrian chipped in with six points and a team high seven rebounds and three assists. Jamila Nansikombi-Gunter paced six boards and three steals, while Adrian and Ashley Shipley both had three steals.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Adamari Waddell and Tatiana Hodges-Johnson made their first start of the season, while Sariñana scored their first bucket of the season.
- ENMU collected a season high 17 steals in the game, it ties the pervious amount when Eastern came away with 17 steals against Western Colorado (11/18/23).
- The Greyhounds matched up with the Thunderwolves for just the 16th time in program history, with the all-time series now tied at 8-8.
- Eastern look to bounce back when they face UCCS on Saturday, Nov. 25, heading to Colorado Springs. The first tip against the Mountain Lions is scheduled for 5 p.m. from Gallogly Events Center.
