RICHARDSON, Texas – For the third-straight year, Eastern New Mexico University football is the individual sport academic champion in the Lone Star Conference.

Eastern totaled a 2.869 grade point average (GPA) during the 2022-23 school year. This is the programs sixth time earning the highest GPA among conference institutions in the last seven years.

During the 2022 season, Hunter St. John was named the academic champion after the fall campaign. The honor comes after earning a 4.0 GPA and being voted by sports information directors in the league.
