ENMU will play their first home conference games of the season this weekend.

PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Volleyball returns to Portales, playing their first home conference matches of the season during Family Weekend. First, ENMU welcome UT Tyler to Greyhound Arena on Friday evening, Sept. 29, with the match starting at 6 p.m. Then, (RV) DBU play Eastern on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m.

TUNE IN

  • This weekend's games will be covered on the LSC Digital Network. The LSC Digital Network will now offer a single game pass for $15, a monthly pass for $30, and a yearly pass for $140.
  • ENMU will play their first home conference games of the season at Greyhound Arena this weekend with admission being free for both games.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS

  • ENMU had a rough start to Lone Star Conference play, falling to both Oklahoma Christian and UAFS, 3-0. On the season, ENMU are 8-7 overall with a 0-2 conference record.
  • The Greyhounds have emerged as one of the top defensive teams in the LSC this season, leading the conference in opposing hitting percentage (.120). Eastern also ranks in the top-five for blocks per set (2.33 b/s, 2nd in LSC) and digs per set (17.83 d/s, 4th in LSC). On offense, ENMU are averaging 12.3 kills per set and 11.5 assists per set.
  • Getsemani Carrasco leads the team and conference in digs and digs per set (319, 6.02 d/s). Gracelyn Stubbs is the conference leader in total blocks (64.0) and 3rd in blocks per set (1.21 b/s). Mikaela Garvin paces the offense with 3.74 kills per set (5th best in LSC), while Kayla Ison supplies 4.91 assists per set.

SCOUTING UT TYLER

  • The Patriots of UT Tyler have a 7-6 record with a 1-1 start to LSC play. UTT have been tested this season, playing five nationally ranked teams so far this season. Most recently, UT Tyler beat Cameron, 3-1, and lost to #3 West Texas A&M, 3-1.
  • The Patriots are one of the top offensive teams in the conference, landing in second in the LSC for kills per set (13.8 k/s) and assists per set (12.8 a/s). UT Tyler picks up 17.2 digs per set, 5th best in the LSC, along with 1.7 blocks per set.
  • Shaye Koski leads the team with 3.87 k/s, standing second best in the conference, while four other members of the team have more than 2.00 k/s. Adeline Ortman paces the team with 5.93 a/s with Jenna White contributing 4.98 a/s. Addison Evans leads the program with 5.14 d/s, with Maya Peña providing 0.88 blocks per set at the net.

SCOUTING (RV) DBU

  • DBU received votes in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), picking up 17 votes. Overall, the Patriots are 9-4 going with a 2-0 opening conference weekend, beating Cameron, 3-0, and knocking off #3 West Texas A&M, 3-2.
  • The DBU offense has been near unstoppable this season, sitting in the top-5 for kills (13.3 k/s, 4th), assists (12.7 a/s, 3rd), hitting percentage (.229, 5th), along with being the top serving team in the LSC (2.26 aces per set). At the net, the Patriots are finding 2.24 b/s (5th best in LSC) and averaging 14.5 digs per set.
  • Delaney Fuller has emerged as one of the top offensive players in the country, leading the conference in kills (4.70 k/s) and points (5.42 points per set) with both marks being in the top-5 nationally. Fuller's 0.54 service aces per set leds the team, while Lexi Lambert and Aryn Walton each have over 5.0 a/s. Shaylee Shore is 2nd in the LSC for blocks per set (1.24 b/s), while Daylee Doggett has a team best 4.57 d/s.
