PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer play their homecoming match this Saturday, Oct. 5, against UT Tyler beginning at 10:30 a.m. from Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.

SERIES INSIGHT

• The Greyhounds meet the Patriots for the fifth time in program history. Eastern holds a 2-0-2 series advantage against UT Tyler.
• In the teams last meeting, the two played out a 1-1 draw in Tyler. Eastern scored in the opening five minutes, then the Patriots leveled the game in the second half.
• Eastern is unbeaten when facing UT Tyler, winning a pair of meetings and a draw of draws.
• ENMU is 2-0 when playing the Patriots at home. Both wins have been decided by one goal, while the most recent Greyhound win was a 1-0 shutout in 2022.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS

• Eastern return home following a tough road defeat against Lubbock Christian, falling 5-0. Coming into the weekend, the Greyhounds own a 2-4-1 standing while sporting a 1-2 LSC record.
• ENMU have three different goal scorers this season scoring one goal each: Gaia Chies, Mariana Gonzalez Jimenez, and Meghann Wingsutton. As for assists, Gonzaez Jimenez and Wingsutton both have a helper this season, while Katelyn Aune also has an assist to their name.
• In net, Rosie Willmott Joyce has kept a pair of shutouts this season, starting every match in goal. The first year has faced close to 100 shots this season, making 42 saves, with a 0.774 save percentage.
• Sarah Tate paces the Greyhounds for shots (7) and shots on goal (5), as the team averages 8.3 shots per game. ENMU have committed 53 fouls, while receiving two yellow cards.

SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS

• UT Tyler enters the weekend with the joint top overall record in the Lone Star Conference (6-1-1), with four points from their opening three conference matches (1-1-1). The Patriots blitz St. Mary's in their last match, winning 3-0 at home.
• The Patriots enter as the top scorers in the LSC with 25 goals and just three goals allowed. Natalie Jones leads the squad with five goals on the season, including four game winning goals. Jones also has a team best for points (12), shots (23), and shots on goal (12). Marin Love has supplied four goals as a substitute, including converting a penalty. Ella Anderson and Launa Torrez each have three assists.
• Emily Clark tops the conference in save percentage (.913) and goals against average (.333), making 21 saves over the opening eight matches with three shutouts. The shot stopper for the Patriots was named LSC Goalkeeper of the Week following the opening weekend of the season.
• Averaging close to 20 shots per game, UTT are scoring on 15 percent of attempts. The Patriots stand 5^th in the nation with 3.13 goals per game, and 6^th in the NCAA for points per game (8.50 points per game). In terms of total goals, UT Tyler is 4^th nationally with 25 goals.
